Eli Ivy at the Zoo

Our intention of frequent updates was hampered by wifi that required a password, which could be gotten only through interaction with a Thai women who understood little English. However, we overcame that hurdle and are now back online - hence the previous update.

On our second visitation day, we met Eli in our hotel lobby at 10:00. After some discussion with the social worker, we decided to go to the zoo. What a great idea this turned out to be. At the zoo, Eli opened up. He laughed and played, ran and jumped. It was so much fun. He also began to communicate with us by pulling on our hands and pointing.

He has a very cute little smile, which clearly has a hint of mischief. If you look carefully at the picture below, you will see that I acquired the skill to levitate. Should come in handy. However, not sure if I should use my new power for good or evil.

Tomorrow afternoon we go back to Bangkok. This is a major step in finalizing the adoption and bringing Eli home. Well it is late now, I need to get some sleep.
